Every morning I draw—on my face. Part of me wants to make it obvious that everyone draws; whether you draw a map for a friend, put on your eyeliner, try to demonstrate to a plumber the position of your water meter, trace your lover’s lips… Part of me wants to draw attention to the notion of ‘presentation’ to the world, and the vagueries of enhancements, and aging, and expectations. On all accounts the work is very public yet very personal.
